CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. All entries must be from members of the Association.
2. All entries must be received by the Auctioneers NOT LATER THAN FRIDAY 22ND AUGUST 2025 AND DEFINITELY NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
3. Numbering - Neck number tags will be issued to breeders on arrival and all sheep must be numbered with their respective lot number before inspection.
4. Tagging: ALL sheep must be tagged in accordance with DEFRA & BWMSS regulations.
5. Stock not entered for Show & Sale: Stock additional to those officially entered must not be unloaded and will not be permitted to be sold on the sale ground in the official sale or by private arrangement.
6. Vendors will be expected to ensure that their animals are in good health and to the best of their knowledge free from infectious or contagious diseases. By signing the bottom of the entry form you are giving a warranty of soundness for your animals. This includes a warranty in respect of mouth, udder, testicles & that female sheep over 2 years old have bred a lamb.
7. Order of Sale: All sheep will be sold in guineas (105p) and in strict catalogue order. A ballot for order of sale will take place at the Auctioneer’s Offices for entries in each class.
8. The Champion Male and Champion Female exhibits must be offered for sale and if not sold, the Vendor shall pay full commission on the reserve price given to the Auctioneer.
9. BREED INSPECTIONS – Breed Society inspections do not constitute any form of guarantee or warranty. Purchasers should inspect animals themselves to ensure that they are suitable prior to purchase.
10. The Chief Steward has authority to change, alter or amend any regulations/conditions if circumstances demand, and has authority of arbitration over all events on the day.
