BALWEN SHEEP SHOW & SALE

The Balwen Welsh Mountain Breed is a versatile breed, bred for breeding, meat and wool. They are a great all rounder.

The wool, although not worth much by the Wool Board is a great wool to use for felting and other crafting projects such as rugs. More and more people are now using wool on their flower beds and in gateways too.

The Balwens are easy lambers and brilliant mothers with their strong maternal instincts. They will lamb happily outdoors or indoors depending on your setup or what you’d prefer. They are also great when cross-bred with another breed producing lovely lambs.

The Balwen meat is delicious with a rich taste. Although not the fattest of breeds, they make great meat boxes.

They are also amazing for children!
